Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
The Department of Computer Applications (DOCA) offers two-year full time Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme. This programme is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The aims to groom the software skills and strengthen the computer application aspect of students. This prepares the students for the industry requirements so that they can flourish in the corporate IT Sector. The emphasis in MCA, is on designing information systems for various organizations. Development of application software in diverse areas where computers are used will be the main function of MCA graduates. The major thrust is on giving the students a sound background in computing, business functioning and mathematics relevant to information technology. A strong laboratory component is a part of the curriculum. The laboratories, besides supplementing the theory course also expose the student to the use of the latest software tools.
Eligibility: Passed BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree or Passed B.Sc./B.Com./B.A. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

The MCA program at MIMT is a 2-year course which is spread over 4 semesters. During this MCA degree course, students will be taught advance subjects that will strengthen their understanding to make them competitive to fulfill the IT industry demand.
The MCA course, in its final semester, will require the students to undertake an innovative or research-oriented project that will reflect on the knowledge gained in the earlier semesters. The Project will give the student an exposure to learn the work culture and Industry practices.
